2007-2008 TCRC INDOOR TRACK RULES

* Oval classes will run 4 minute heats and mains.
* 12th scale onroad will run 8 minute heats and mains.
* All other classes will run 5 minute heats and mains. (this includes the 2 classes that alternate oval and onroad... they will run 5 minutes regardless of whether its the oval or onroad week)

General Rules

* Good sportsmanlike conduct is required of all drivers. Throwing equipment, yelling at turn marshals, and cursing will not be allowed.
* All drivers must turn marshal during their specified time at a specified location. A driver may have a substitute marshal in their place. Marshals should always pay close attention to their specified area.
* Technical inspection will be in effect.
* The frequency board should be utilized at ALL times during practice. You must have an accurate frequency clip before you turn your radio on.
* Practice will be semi-controlled practice formats that allow for ample practice time for both oval and onroad classes. You may not practice onroad during the time specified for oval and conversely you cannot practice oval during the time specified for onroad.
* Substitute drivers will not be allowed.
* Any reference to ROAR rules in the individual class specifications will be subject to the most current edition of Roar Rules which will be posted in their entirety at the track.
* Broken cars should be removed from the racing surface. Any car that is clearly damaged but still running may continue ONLY if the car is not an obstacle to other racers AND is not a risk to damage the racing surface. The race director has the right to instruct removal of any broken car from the race.
* No treaded tires will be allowed in any class.
* No side air dams or large wickerbills will be allowed in ANY class.

 

 

Class Specific Rules

Stock TC 2007 2008 Roar rules apply with the following exception(s) only.
* 4 Magnet motors are allowed
* SubC 6 Cell Maximum 7.2V battery pack (4200, 4300, etc batteries are allowed)
* Any TC style body allowed. No GTP, wedge, or open wheel bodies allowed.
* Minimum weight with transponder is 50 ounces (3 lbs 2 ounces)

Open TC (onroad)
* Any 4wd TC chassis with 4 wheel independent suspension is allowed.
* Any motor allowed. (Brushed or Brushless)
* Any battery 7.4V or under nominal voltage (NiMh or LiPos)
* Any TC style body allowed. No GTP, wedge, or open wheel bodies allowed.
* Any Foam Tires or Rubber Tires are allowed

Stock 12th Scale (onroad)
2007 2008 Roar rules apply with the following exception(s) only.
* 4 Magnet motors are allowed
* SubC 4 cell maximum 4.8V battery pack (4200mah, 4300mah, etc allowed)
* Race length will be 8 minutes for qualifiers and mains.

T-Spec (onroad)
Original T-Spec Rules apply with the following exception(s) only:
* Any touring car foam tires are allowed.
* Any 190mm touring car body allowed.

Stock 4 cell Pan Car (Oval)
2007 2008 Roar rules apply with the following exception(s) only:
* Any Nascar style body No GTP or wedge type bodies allowed.
* Rear wire mounted wings are allowed in addition to blade type body spoiler.
* SubC 4 Cell Maximum 4.8V battery pack (4200mah, 4300mah, etc allowed)
* Any locked timing 27T 24* motor meeting Roar specifications is allowed.

19Turn 4 cell Pan Car (Oval))
2007 2008 Roar rules apply with the following exception(s) only:
* Any Nascar style body No GTP or wedge type bodies allowed.
* Rear wire mounted wings are allowed in addition to blade type body spoiler.
* SubC 4 Cell Maximum 4.8V battery pack (4200mah, 4300mah, etc allowed)
* Any locked or adjustable timing 19T motor meeting Roar/Arcor specifications is allowed.

Stock TC (Oval)
2007 2008 Roar Rules for Stock Onroad TC (T-2) apply with the following exception(s) only:
* 200mm maximum width
* 50 ounces minimum weight with transponder
* Any sedan type or Nascar body allowed No GTP, wedge, or open wheel bodies.
* No wire mounted rear wings, only normal TC or Nascar blade spoilers allowed.
* SubC 6 Cell Maximum 7.2V battery pack (4200mah, 4300mah, etc allowed)
* 4 magnet motors are legal

Gearbox (Oval)
* Minimum 3 gear reduction gearbox.
* SubC 6 cell 7.2 volt maximum battery pack.
* 5mm minimum ride height
* any 19 turn or Stock locked timing motor allowed.
* Open wheel bodies only. (all 4 wheels)

12th Scale (Oval)
* 2007-2008 Roar Rules apply in addition to the following items:
* Any locked or adjustable timing 19T motor meeting Roar/Arcor specifications is allowed.
* SubC 4 Cell Maximum 4.8V battery pack (4200, 4300, etc batteries are allowed)

18th Scale Truck (alternating oval and onroad)
* 185mm maximum width
* 1 lb (16 ounces) minimum weight with transponder
* 4mm minimum ride height (measured at the lowest point)
* Any open wheel body allowed fenders of body may not cover more than half of tire.
* Maximum 7.2 volt rated battery pack.
* Any RC specific brushed micro/ mini motor.
* Bearings are legal.
* Oil shocks are legal.
* No major chassis modifications allowed. Aftermarket chassis are legal.
* Touring car foam tires are allowed.

Legends (alternating oval and onroad)
* Absolutely no changes to the configuration of the chassis. Minor grinding for easement of steering linkage and body mounting is allowed.
* Any location for the receiver and speed control on top of the battery plate is allowed. Steering servo may be mounted on the front axel plate. An extension of the battery tray or an additional servo plate may be added.
* No changes are allowed to the front steering blocks. Front springs may be changed from the original as supplied with the car. Shims are allowed on the front spindles to stiffen the suspension. A front king pin brace may be added to prevent breakage of the front axel plate. The front axel may be modified for better retention of the axel. The front axel plate may be a one, two or three piece design.
* Original steering rods may be bent as needed and double locking collars may be added. Tie rod turnbuckles may be used as a replacement for the wire steering rods supplied with the kit.
* Any after market plastic front bumper may be used. Bumpers may not extend beyond the straight track width of the front tires.
* Ball bearings may be used on the front and rear axels.
* No changes allowed to the rear axle or differential. No ceramic or carbide diff. balls or drive rings are allowed. Must use 81 tooth - 48 pitch plastic spur gear only. No lightweight rear axels. No thrust bearings other than the one in the differential.
* Aluminum rear hubs may be used in lieu of, molded plastic furnished with the kit. Ball bearings are not allowed in the rear differential hub.
* Only genuine R/C Legends bodies are allowed. Body must be painted with all windows clear. Front and rear windows must be left intact.
* Tires can be any compound or manufacture. Rear tire diameter - 2.5 inches maximum and a width of 1.75 to 2.0 inches. Front tire diameter - 2.5 inches maximum and a width of 1.0 to 1.2 inches.
* No roll over stiff antennas are allowed. The antenna may be mounted under the body.
* Only Trinity Street Spec motors are allowed. Motor armature must be labeled as SPEC. Motor must remain stock with no internal or external modification. Original (OEM) brushes must be replaced with an R or F or S
Stamped brush. Solder or eyelet brushes may be used. Spec brush springs must be used. External label may be removed. Must use a 21 or 22 tooth motor pinion only.
* Only Trinity Street Spec- 4 Cell batteries are allowed. No hard wiring allowed.
* Reverse direction not allowed.
